Dr Marianne Leach

Dr Marianne Leach is a Consultant in General Acute Paediatrics at St. George’s University Hospitals Trust in London. She works as a front-line paediatrician enjoying clinical work as a generalist and improving CYP health.

Dr Leach has a strong focus on service redesign and co-production with service users and staff. She is a leader of integrated care, having established joint work with primary care ‘Together Clinic Hubs’ in the local health systems in Southwest London. She has recently been seconded to the post of Clinical Director of Integrated Care in Wandsworth with the vision to build multi-professional teams around CYP aiming to improve population health. She has recently started integrated asthma clinics. 

Additionally,  Dr Leach is a member of the London Clinical Senate (NHS England), which reviews service changes and is an ‘Invited reviewer’ at RCPCH. She has long-standing experience in Quality Improvement as a current QI coach/trainer and previously as QI training lead at the RCPCH. Dr Leach applies these skills in service improvements and clinical work. She has been the Governance Lead in Paediatric Medicine for four years, increasing engagement and organisational learning regarding patient safety.

Her profile as a connective, creative pioneer (5voices.com) means she enjoys developing new opportunities and enabling change.

She completed a Master’s in Strategic Clinical Leadership (South Bank, London) in 2022.

Besides improving health and services, Dr Leach is passionate about developing people and promoting inclusion to improve population health and health systems. She is a Trust-wide appraiser and supervisor and completed Level 5 ILM coaching in 2022. 

Having five children has given her many insights into real-life paediatrics and parenting, including special needs experiences. She enjoys reading fictional crime, dreaming about tiny houses and eco-living (the good life), and travels regularly back home to Germany.
